Indoor Winter Track
The indoor track season runs from late November through early February each year.
Competitions
Competitions are held on Saturdays at CU Boulder and the USAFA Cadet Field House. Athletes are encouraged to compete in at least 1 but no more than 3 competitions. This is ample preparation for the Colorado High School spring sport season. Some athletes will attend the Simplot Games which are held in Pocatello, Idaho or the New Balance Indoor Nationals held in Boston. This is based on performances throughout the indoor season.
Indoor Track Program Purpose
The Speed Track and Field Indoor Winter Program is designed to improve the athlete's power, technique, event specific conditioning and mental fortitude for all distances from 60 meters to 3000 meters. Additionally this program will assist the field event athlete with the technical components required to achieve maximal jump distances in the long, triple and high jump.
Athletes will benefit immensely from the athlete education workshops, core strengthening, muscular endurance and energy systems training/conditioning. This is a great way to compliment your athlete’s spring sport, maintain their fitness level and give them a competitive edge.
Scholarships
The Speed T&F Scholarship Fund is a financial need based fund designed to help offset costs for athletes who participate in the Speed T&F Program. Download the Scholarship Application
