2009 Speed Select Athletes are individuals that have met various performance, community and academic criteria during the period of:

September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008

The selection criteria includes, but is not limited to the following:      
Top Individual Finish or a Qualifying Standard in the following competitions

• High School State Championships (Cross Country or Track and Field)
• National Ranking & Finishes (Simplot, Nike, JuniorUSA Outdoor, Golden West, Great Southwestern, USATF JO National Championships, Footlocker Championships)
• USATF JO Colorado State Championship (Outdoor)
• USATF JO Colorado Championship (Indoor)
• USATF JO Region X Championship (Outdoor)
